I’m a freelance web designer born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

With over 15 years of experience in the field, I’ve grown into a professional web designer, proficient at crafting captivating web experiences and striking graphic designs. My journey is a testament to the power of education, dedication, and passion for the digital arts.

Education

My path to becoming a web designer began in 2005 when I received a diploma (AEC) in Graphic Design for the Web from Herzing College in Montreal. This intensive program honed my skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Adobe Creative Cloud, providing me with a solid foundation for my future endeavors. Education is often the cornerstone of success, and my commitment to learning and keeping up with the latest in web design has help me succeed in my career.

Web Programming Expertise

Recognizing the importance of staying ahead in the ever-evolving digital landscape, I pursued a certificate in PHP & MySQL programming from Concordia University in Montreal in 2009. This move reflected my dedication to mastering the intricacies of web programming, an essential aspect of creating dynamic and interactive websites.

My Journey as a Freelancer

From 2005 to the present day, I’ve embarked on an exciting journey as a Freelance Web Developer and Graphic Designer. This experience allowed me to work across various industries, serving the unique needs and creative demands of different types of businesses. I pride myself on being an honest and reliable person in the world of web design.

Elevating Education with CAE

In 2007, I was hired by CAE as a member of the graphic design team. My role involved working on e-learning courseware for student pilots. In this educational capacity, I played a pivotal role in shaping the digital learning experience for aspiring pilots, enhancing their training with innovative, visually-rich content.

I graduated from Herzing College in 2005

Working  for CarTrust Canada Inc.

Between 2015 and 2019, I was part of CarTrust Canada’s team as a web designer. Here, I had the opportunity to work on an online car gallery, a task that required me to blend my technical expertise with creative skill. I was responsible for crafting a visually appealing and user-friendly platform that showcased an array of new car models, adding a touch of artistry to the automotive world.

Joining a Digital Marketing Team

My journey as a web designer took an exciting turn in 2018 when I joined the digital marketing team of the Peter Damon Group, a consulting firm based in Washington D.C. In this role, I undertook the responsibility of maintaining the firm’s website with content updates and creating fresh, engaging material. My work in this corporate setting allowed me to further refine my web design and content creation abilities, contributing to the success of the consulting firm’s online presence.

Volunteering at hospital in Montreal

Volunteer Work

Giving back to the community has always been very important to me. This is why I volunteer twice a week at the Royal Victoria Hospital and Cedars Cancer Center in Montreal.
I’ve been volunteering as a wayfinder at McGill University Health Center’s (MUHC) Royal Victoria Hospital. I assist patients getting to and find their way to their doctor’s appointments or medical tests.

I also volunteer at Cedar’s CanSupport in the Resource Center. I assist cancer patients with finding information on their specific cancer diagnosis through various resource material.
